BFMA relies on individual donations and foundation grants to support its mission. Without your help, BFMA would not be able to provide proficient service. Projects such as sending client birthday cards, updating hardware and software, and improving processes to develop efficient service delivery are dependent on the generosity of others.

Mission : Provide leadership, advocacy and resources that eliminate barriers to quality health for uninsured and underserved in our service area. The Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City enabled BFMA to obtain reliable hardware, updated software, and advance the Client Management System which is an invaluable tool for the service BFMA provides.

Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund

The Jackson County Community Mental Health Fund is a unique and important resource. They are a payer of last resort for core mental health services in Jackson County, Missouri. The Fund enables BFMA to serve approximately 300 Jackson County residents with a severe and persistent mental illness.

The Village Presbyterian Church

Village Church provided funds for BFMA’s Farmer’s Market eating program. This initiative strongly encourages clients to adopt new healthful eating habits that address hunger and good nutrition along with sound financial behavior. Clients are encouraged to shop at the closest farmer’s markets to save money and to eat more healthy and nutritious foods.
